The room you most want to check is often dark by the time you think of it. This smoke detector–style camera lights it with infrared and sends 720p video with sound to your phone.

• Ceiling view: the smoke detector–style housing mounts overhead, where it takes in the room below.
• Infrared night vision: built-in infrared LEDs keep the picture clear with every light switched off.
• No wiring overhead: one charge lasts up to 90 days on motion standby, so it comes down only a few times a year.
• 32 hours on the card: the fitted 32 GB card holds about 32 hours, then overwrites the oldest footage.

What you need: Wi-Fi that reaches the ceiling where it mounts, and the app on an iPhone with iOS 8 or later or an Android phone with Android 4.4 or later.
