A ceiling camera has to see the whole room, day and night. This smoke detector–style Wi-Fi camera covers a 140° view in 720p, and its 940 nm infrared lights the room after dark without a visible glow.

• Invisible night vision: 940 nm infrared LEDs, unseen by the eye, light the room for recording in the dark.
• 140° from the ceiling: a wide sweep of the room below from one mounting spot.
• Keeps recording without Wi-Fi: video saves to the memory card, so it still records when your Wi-Fi is down.
• Up to 86 hours per card: a 64 GB card holds up to 86 hours of HD video; an 8 GB card comes in the box.
• Up to 90 days on standby: in motion mode the 10,000 mAh battery lasts up to 90 days, or up to 8 hours recording continuously.

What you need: 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi that reaches the ceiling, and the app on an iPhone or iPad with iOS 5.1 or later or an Android device with Android 2.3 or later.

Good to know: a full charge takes 10 hours, and the manual comes on CD.

Can several people watch? Yes. The app installs on as many phones and tablets as you need, and more cameras can join the same app.
